Barista and Coffee Training Course

Full Coffee and Barista training course at The Cobbled Roastery, Thistle Street, Edinburgh. 

Course designed for entry level Barista's to teach them full knowledge of coffee beans, preparation method's, and tricks to make the perfect brew. 

3 day course consisting of 2 hours per day at £35 per day, £105 for the three days. 

DAY 1

What is a coffee bean, countries of origin, roasting descriptors, what does espresso mean, basic drinks, barista tools, brewing methods, what is an espresso machine, espresso brewing rules. 

PRACTICE

Preparing espresso, brew ratio, grinding and grammage setting, coffee machine care.

OUTCOME

Know how to make the right espresso

Full access to coffee shop and equipment. 

DAY 2

How to froth milk correctly, features of working with milk, types of milk, barista tools, milk consistency, drink recipes 

PRACTICE

Froth milk, prepare basic drinks.

OUTCOME

Know how to prepare basic milk-based drinks, know how to froth milk and what consistency is needed. 

DAY 3

Working with a client, charging for drinks, operating a card terminal, basic terms and features of Working in Scotland, how to understand a client and remember the basic words and working methods of a Ukrainian speaking barista. 

PRACTICE

Working in a day to day coffee shop environment. 

OUTCOME

Become comfortable in a working environment dealing with customers and taking payment, serving coffee your proud of.
